Almost consistent

Well, I would love to tell you that I was the picture of consistent efficiency since I posted last. But alas, life throws us a few curves at times. I haven’t got knocked too hard on my backside. And my imperfection is still a marked improvement.
The printable daily sheet was a great idea and my husband even appreciated it because he could see what I needed done and help where he could. But of course, nothing is perfect. I was so focused on that one piece of paper that I failed to check my calendar and ended up with a financial mistake. I had been doing soooo good with the budget. Hormones got the better of me and I cried myself silly over it. I got it fixed. It wasn’t the end of the world. But a lesson learned. My little brown day planner is keeping me on track. If it won’t fit in there, I’m not using it.
I had a lot of false labor pains this week at 35 weeks pregnant. Lofty plans come crashing down in times like this. Now I didn’t get 7 minutes in all the spaces but I did keep up the dining room and living room. I didn’t get the kitchen cleaned after every meal. One day, it didn’t get touched at all. The next day was tough trying to catch it all up. Lesson #2 Kitchen has to come first. Even if it is just two minutes at a time, put some dishes away or load some in the dishwasher. Guess what? It’s ok to unload the dishwasher halfway and get to the other half later. The little bits of time add up.
I really love the 15 minutes on floors and 15 minutes on surfaces. I don’t need to worry about vacuuming the whole house or cleaning all the counters. Just what I can get to in 15 minutes or so. It keeps things from getting grungy and doesn’t make me obsess over perfectionism.
Hoping for more consistency in the next week. Gonna put my goals down in my planner so I can keep track of what is most important during the day. And go by list of importance: Bible/prayers, Kitchen, Laundry, 7×7 Pick up/put away, Floors, Surfaces, Decluttering, Gardening, and so on.
